Sources say a large police operation was underway on Friday afternoon along Old Highway 2 near Point Anne Road, near the border of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and Belleville.
According to multiple reports, the individual fled from police in Trenton before crashing a stolen vehicle in the Point Anne area and continuing on foot.
OPP K9 units were brought in to search for the suspect, described as a bald male wearing a tan shirt and no shoes.
Unconfirmed reports indicate the male has now been taken into custody.
A scanner watch reports there are injuries to the suspect and is being transported to hospital.
