With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Geraldine “Geri” Findlay (née Wile)—a devoted wife, mother, Nana, and Great-Nana—who left us on September 17, 2026, shortly after suffering a stroke, at the age of 85.
Raised in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Geri carried a lifelong love for simple pleasures born in her home province: family reunions at Grand Pré, sunny beach picnics with family, afternoon swims, and glide-filled days on the ice. At the tender age of sixteen, she met Bob, beginning a romantic partnership that would span a lifetime. After completing her studies in Montreal, Geri returned home to marry her soulmate in August 1960 in a beautiful Windsor ceremony.
Above all else, Geri chose family as her calling, nurturing a home filled with laughter, unconditional love, and strength. Her devotion shines on through her surviving children, Andrew (Judith), Greg (Cindy), and Anne (Rui), as well as her twelve cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amanda (Harry), Michael (Paula), Dane (Jody), Eric, Brett (Mitchell), Ryan (1), Logan, Alexander, Hannah, Ryan (2), Daphne, and Indie.
Geri leaves behind a rich tapestry of cherished memories and a legacy of love and quiet service that will forever inspire her family. We will hold her in our hearts and miss her every day.
Geri is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings: Judy, Wendy (John), Fred (Maureen), and Pam (Paul). She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob,” her brother David, and her sister Sharon (Marty).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests and appreciates any donations that may be made to the Belleville General Hospital. Memories, stories and condolences can be shared online at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
A celebration of both Geri’s and Bob’s lives will take place in the place they first met, Windsor, NS, at a date to be determined.
