Passed away peacefully at Hastings Manor on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in his 84th year.
Bob will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his daughters, Rhonda (David) Phillips and Roxane Mossman (Andrew Cross); his grandchildren, Mitchell (Alesha), Brennan and Liam; and his great-grandson, Charlie.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth Mossman; his parents, Roy and Loretta Mossman; and his sister, Marilyn Forestell.
Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humour, his warm and caring nature, and especially for his love of singing. Whether it was a familiar tune or a song of his own choosing, Bob was often happiest with a song to sing.
Bob was blessed to have a large and loving extended family, including many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who continued to visit, share stories and make memories with him. Their love and friendship brought so much joy to his life. During his stay at Hastings Manor, Bob also formed special friendships with staff and fellow residents, who became like an extended family to him. He was known, loved and remembered there for his humour, his kindness and, of course, his singing. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Hastings Manor who cared for Bob, shared a laugh with him, listened to his stories and helped make his days brighter.
His laughter, his stories, and his music will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.
Family & friends are invited to Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street, Belleville on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 1-2pm. Funeral Service in the chapel at 2 pm.
