A major traffic link between Belleville and Prince Edward County was temporarily severed on Saturday.
A recreational camping trailer suffered a broken axle while crossing the bridge, becoming stuck on the span. Removal efforts required closing the bridge to all traffic.
The incident began just after noon, and took close to four hours before the trailer could be removed and the bridge fully reopened.
