A Deseronto resident faces impaired-driving charges after a vehicle was seen driving erratically in Picton.
On September 12, 2026 just before 9 p.m., an officer with the Prince Edward County OPP was conducting patrols in Picton when a vehicle was seen travelling erratically.
A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.
The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
Sixty-seven-year-old Sharon Leskinen of Deseronto, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on October 28, 2026.
In addition to the criminal charges, the accused received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
