A Belleville woman has been charged after a van’s mirrors and windows were smashed.
On Wednesday at around 10:58 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a female who was smashing the mirrors and windows of a van parked at the residence.
When officers arrived, they say the female was sitting inside the vehicle still with the rocks that were used to damage the van.
Police say they ordered the female out of the vehicle and she complied.
She was arrested without incident.
Further investigation revealed the female was currently bound by two probation orders and a Release Order all of which she was breaching at the time of the incident.
A 26-year-old female from Belleville was charged with:
- Mischief under $5000
- Failure to comply with a release order
- Fail to comply with a Probation Order X2
The female was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
