Officers from Peterborough OPP have handed down a long list of charges, including impaired driving charges, after a single-vehicle accident on Sunday.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., officers responded to an accident on Highway 115. Callers reported that a southbound vehicle suddenly left the road, coming to a stop in the centre median.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the driver, and determined she was under the effects of alcohol. It was also found that the driver was not licensed and was on multiple driving suspensions as well as a Criminal Prohibition Order and a Probation Order. The driver was also in possession of a licence that was not in her name. The driver was arrested and taken back to the detachment for further testing, but refused to comply with the demand to provide a sample.
