McDougall Group has made a new acquisition, purchasing United Link Insurance Brokers, a brokerage based out of Sudbury.
The purchase raises McDougall group to close to $1.6 billion and 1500 employees across over 90 office locations. This makes McDougall one of the largest insurance brokerages in Ontario.
The transition plan for United Link will keep their former owner on as president and have him continue to lead the brokerage. A focus was put on continuity for the existing customers, with no changes being made currently to policy for United Link’s customers.
