A 10-month extortion investigation by the Tyendinaga Police Service has led to charges against three Markham residents.
Police executed a search warrant in Markham with assistance from multiple specialized OPP teams following a initial report made last November.
Two suspects, 42-year-old Shawn Gendron and 32-year-old Denash Raveendran, were arrested and charged with extortion, uttering threats, and harassing communications.
A third suspect, 32-year-old Dilankumar Raveendran, faces the same charges and remains wanted by police.
