The building statistics for August have been released in Prince Edward County, and while the number of permits issued remains mostly the same, the value of those permits has risen.
This august saw 35 permits worth $7,856,500 issued for construction, while last august’s total was 36 permits worth a combined total of $5,520,253. This August’s construction includes 9 new residential units.
So far in 2026, 340 permits have been issued including 74 residential units. The total value of the permits is $89,946,261. At this time in 2025, 398 permits had been issued with a combined value of $77,269,468 and included 63 new residential units.
