A 39-year-old man is facing charges following a case of intimate partner violence
Belleville Police were called to investigate a report of a domestic dispute on Wednesday where, during a verbal argument between a male and female, the male allegedly smashed several household items, pushed the female into a wall, and forcibly confined her in a bedroom by holding the door closed and preventing her from leaving.
The male left the residence and officers were unable to locate him.
On Thursday, the Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with Mischief under $5000, Spousal assault and Forcible confinement
He was held for a bail hearing.
