The Bay of Quinte Yacht Club is celebrating 150 years on the water with a massive Jubilee Birthday Party on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m..
The sails rise on the event with an Indigenous opening ceremony and will feature a wide range of family-friendly activities, including face painting, a magician, balloon twisting, and yard games.
Visitors can check out live on-the-water demonstrations featuring local dragon boats, rowing, and youth sailing clubs, alongside a radio-controlled boat showcase.
Food trucks, beer and wine will be available throughout the day, with a live performance by Ed’s Garage from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m..
It will set sail in the evening with a parade of lights on the water.
