Tyendinaga Township says that the Lonsdale Bridge north will be closed to vehicle traffic until further notice.
In a post to its Facebook page, the township says that the closure is a result of structural deterioration identified in a recent inspection.
Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge.
