MASARO, Elso Peter peacefully passed at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday August 28th, 2026 in his 96th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Roberta Edith. Loving father of Robert (Kathy) Masaro of Osgoode and Laurie (Lorne) Quade of Winchester. Loved by his grandchildren Andrew, Paul Masaro, Matthew (Justine) Zanutta, Michael (Jessica) Zanutta. Loved by his great grandchildren, Gianna, Laiken, Matteo, Cohen Zanutta. Dear brother Rino (Louise) Masaro of Squamish BC, and loving sister-in-law Christina (late Phillip) Golding of Guelph; his extended family, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Elso cherished his family above all else, and his strength, kindness, gentle nature, laughter, and love will forever live on through his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We would like to thank all the wonderful staff at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital for taking such amazing care of our dad.
Friends are invited to attend visitation at Burke Funeral Home (613-968-6968) 150 Church Street, Belleville on Thursday September 3rd from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow in the chapel. Interment St. James Cemetery. Reception to be held at Burke Funeral Home.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
