The municipal candidate nomination period ahead of October local elections is over.
Municipalities have posted their unofficial lists of candidates online.
In Belleville, 4 people are running for Mayor and 20 people running for 8 positions on council.
In Quinte West there are 3 candidates for Mayor with 25 hoping to land one of 12
council seats.

And in Prince Edward County there are 3 candidates for Mayor and 29 people going
for 13 seats on council.

However 3 of those have been filled by incumbent councillors (Braney, ,Engelsdorfer, Hirsch) by acclamation.
