Passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on July 16, 2026 in his 74th year. Wayne was born to the late Ken and Bernice Cassidy on February 12, 1953, in Queensborough, Ontario.
Wayne will always be loved and missed by his wife Catherine (nee Meier) and his sons Jesse (Kelly), Justin (Shannon, predeceased), and Jarrod (Rebecca). Beloved Grandfather to Miranda, Morgan, Owen, Elliott, Emelia, Miles, Miller, and Connor. He also leaves behind his siblings Bonnie Jones (Larry), Sharon Morgan (John), Gene Cassidy (Kathy). Never forgotten by his brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
As per Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Queensborough on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11 am. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will follow at The Farm, 1252 Queensborough Road beginning at 12 pm.
