Internet services were back online for Cogeco customers in the Quinte region as of 5 p.m. on Monday after a number of outages affecting Ontario.
Just before 2 p.m., a number of customers reported their internet not being available on the Cogeco service with reports peaking at 5600 around 2:11 p.m. on Downdetector.ca.
Customers from across Ontario were affected, stretching from Toronto into the upper parts of Kingston.
The outage page was also affected.
Services were reported to be back online just after 5 p.m.
Cogeco said on its social media that technicians were dispatched to resolve the issue.
No cause for the outage has been officially given at this time, however, Cogeco noted on its social media that it was dealing with a secondary fibre cut in Oakville.
