Six people have been charged after a drug trafficking investigation in Napanee.
A search warrant was executed at a home on Dundas Street on Thursday.
Officers with Ontario Provincial Police seized approximately 68 grams of suspected fentanyl, suspected morphine tablets, approximately $680 in Canadian currency, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation:
Fifty-seven-year-old Troy Finch and 49-year-old Patricia Smith, both of Napanee, were arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – opioid
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Failure to comply with undertaking
Forty-six-year-old Andrew Vankoughnet of Napanee was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
- Fail to comply with probation order
Thirty-eight-year-old Nichole Hillson of Napanee, 48-year-old Brandi Kennedy of Napanee, and 38-year-old Christopher Roberts of Tyendinaga First Nation, were arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
Finch, Smith, and Vankoughnet were held in custody for a bail hearing.
Roberts, Hillson, and Kennedy were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
