An Ottawa-area woman has died after a two-vehicle tragedy on Highway 401 in Kingston on Wednesday night.
Provincial police say the 56-year-old was driving west near Division Street around 7:00 p.m., when she hit the centre median.
Investigators say she then stepped out of her car and was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.
The victim’s name has not been released as police continue to investigate.
The highway was closed overnight in the area while the investigation was underway.
