July 11, 1943 -January 30, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Matthew Bentley a.k.a Dooley, who passed away with his loving family by his side on January 30, 2026, at Hospice Quinte. Thomas was a retiree of Belleville General Hospital.
Thomas is predeceased by his parents Lola and stepfather Bob Easterbrooke and Thomas and stepmother Frances Bentley.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Gloria (nee Rushlow) and was a loving father of Patricia (Bill) Corfield, Terry (Gloria). Predeceased by sons Tommy and Tim. Proud Poppy of his grandkids and great grandkids who he cherished in his heart so much.
Survived by his sister Margo (Sonny) Holoway, Predeceased by sister Lola and brother-in-law Reg Bennett. Thomas will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and his dear friends.
Following Thomas wishes cremation has already taken place. If desired donations to the Belleville Dialysis Clinic (613-966-2300), or Hospice Quinte (613-966-6610 Ex 225) or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Thomas on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, from 1-4pm at the Masonic (Temple) Hall 132 Foster Ave, Belleville ON. Online condolences can be shared at www.BurkeFuneral.ca
