Goyetche, Joan Elizabeth “Joannie” (nee Ruckstuhl)…passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday June 15th, 2026 in her 70th year. Beloved wife of the late Larry Goyetche. Proud and loving mother of April Read (Mike), Stephanie Hancock (Chris Moulson), Adam Goyetche (Stef), and Vincent Goyetche (Vicki). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Ethan (Danielle), Hayden and Liam Read, Alice and Barnaby Moulson, and Mandy Phillips. Joannie is survived by her sister Kathy Forder (Bob) and her brothers Ken Ruckstuhl (Tammy) and Dan Ruckstuhl (Sandra). She will be fondly remembered by her best friend Gary Squier, her many nieces and nephews, and the entire Ruckstuhl and Goyetche families.
It is with profound love and deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Joannie. Joannie was the epitome of eccentric and eclectic; marching to the beat of her own drum, she blended vintage, bold and quirky into her own unique style. Throughout her life Joannie was an avid bird enthusiast and over the years had many pet birds, domesticated and wild. She loved feeding and watching the birds in her colourful bird sanctuary, filled with the sunflowers and marigolds that she planted every year. In the community Joannie was a beloved Avon representative for many years, delivering beauty products and conversation to countless doorsteps. As a classic car fan, Joannie was a familiar and lively figure at local car shows. Her cherished convertible bug was a perfect reflection of her personality; unique, full of character, and completely unforgettable.
Joannie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered every time a cardinal visits, the pool sparkles, or we see the number 13.
