On June 4, 2026 at 6:20 a.m., police received a call to Victoria Hall for a break and enter with the suspect still on-scene. Police immediately responded and arrested the male who had gained entry by smashing a window at the rear of the building. Scenes of Crime officer attended and processed the scene, and officers conducted a search of the building to ensure there were no other persons inside.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Ryan Denis of Cobourg was charged with the following:
• Break and Enter
• Theft Under $5,000
• Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Denis was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
