Katherine MacIver is now the chief executive officer of the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board.
At Monday night’s public board meeting, MacIver updated trustees on Bill 101, which recently received royal assent from the province.
“There are changes that affect school board bargaining, trustees’ roles and associations, the chief executive officer/director of education, and school climate survey requirements.”
“We anticipate future regulations and policies from the ministry affecting assessment and evaluation practices, learning resources, capital and renovation decisions, budget processes, expense policies, and procedures.”
With the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Carey Dewey Smith is now the CEO. The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board is searching for a new CEO/director, as Rita Russo announced her retirement this past January.
