Sean Girduckis passed away unexpectedly at home on May 19, 2026, at the age of 57.
Born on April 15, 1969, in Medicine Hat to the late John and Julianna Girduckis, Sean lived a life dedicated to helping others, supporting his community, and caring deeply for his family and friends.
Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 1993. Following graduation, he moved to Belleville, where he established a successful chiropractic practice and spent more than 30 years serving patients throughout the Quinte region. Known for his compassion, generosity, and dedication, Sean took pride in helping people of all ages live healthier lives, with a special interest in the treatment and prevention of athletic injuries.
His love of sports, particularly hockey, led him to become the team chiropractor for the Belleville Bulls in 1995. He later served as Consulting Chiropractor for the Belleville Senators and worked closely with the Wellington Dukes as an injury consultant. Supporting local athletes and teams brought him great pride and fulfillment.
Sean was actively involved in his community, serving on various boards of directors and contributing his time to numerous charities and service organizations. A lifelong learner, he remained committed to personal and professional growth throughout his life, earning a Master of Business Administration in 2008 and always seeking new ways to better serve those around him.
Above all, Sean loved his family. He was a proud father who rarely missed an opportunity to support and encourage his children and especially enjoyed following his sons’ hockey careers. Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest joys of his life, and he was immensely proud of his grandsons. Sean valued time spent with family and friends, whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Sean will always be loved and deeply missed by his children Emma (Kyle), Abbott (Jordan), and Aidan; his grandsons Phillip and Jack; his siblings Joe, Sonia (Dave), and Kelly (Doug); and his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, colleagues, and patients.
Sean was predeceased by his parents, John and Julianna Girduckis, and his sister Louise.
Family and friends are invited to a Time to Remember Sean at Burke Funeral Home (613-968-6968), 150 Church Street, Belleville on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Interment will take place at a later date in Medicine Hat.
Sean leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, dedication, and service. He will be remembered for the countless lives he touched, the wisdom he shared, and the love he gave so freely to family, friends, patients, and community.
