Reid, Kenneth Paul “Ken,”… passed away suddenly at Belleville General Hospital on May 15, 2026 at the age of 78 years.
Beloved husband and best friend of Anna Marie Reid of 33 years. Loving father of Tania Pearce (Sean), Kimberley DiMichele (Paul), Uneata Gibbs (Ian), Cheri Guest (the late Ron), Kenneth Reid Jr., Anna Morel (Patrick), Eileen Maschke (Andrew), Brian McKeown (Michelle), Daddy’s little girl Kyleigh Reid. Proud grandfather of 31 grandchildren and cherished great-grandfather of 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the absolute pride and joy of his life. Whether it was giving piggyback rides or lending a helping hand, Ken was always happiest when surrounded by family.
Ken will be dearly missed by his sisters Gloria and Norma, and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers George and Wayne, and his parents George, Rita, and Dorris Reid. Ken also shared a very special bond with his niece Sanda Durant.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Ken was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved traveling, especially the memories made during his honeymoon in Virginia with Anna, and he never passed up a good game of cribbage. Ken’s laughter, quick wit, and fun-loving spirit made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. He will also be deeply missed by his lifelong friends Jimmy, Ricky, and the late “Uncle Gerry,” along with his beloved dog ChaCha.
Visitation will be held at Weaver Family Funeral Home – 29 Bay Street on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are also invited to attend visitation held at Weaver Family Funeral Home – 29 Bay Street on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
