Numerous charges have been laid, after suspects were spotted switching license plates Wednesday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a North Front Street parking lot, for a report of suspicious activity.
Two different vehicles were observed with the same license plates.
Officers also discovered one person was a prohibited driver and had meth in his possession.
A 55-year-old has been charged with
· Operation while prohibited
· Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
· Fail to comply with a release order
· Permit use of plate not authorized for vehicle (HTA)
· Driving while under suspension (HTA)
· Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle (HTA)
· Owner operate a motor vehicle without insurance (CAIA)
· Fail to surrender insurance card (CAIA)
A woman has been issued an unauthorized plate ticket.
