What Quinte West OPP termed a “serious collision” closed the eastbound lanes of Old Highway 2 for about 4 hours overnight (Saturday into Sunday).
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. and the section of highway between Aikins and Montrose roads was closed until around 2 a.m.
Social media accounts report the collision was a hit and run and involved a cyclist and a vehicle although there has been no confirmation of that information from the police.
