Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered an impaired driving investigation following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision on Mount Horeb Road, Manvers Township.
On April 3, 2026 at approximately 4:55 p.m., officers responded to a single-ATV collision around Mount Horeb Road and Old Mill Road. Officers attended and confirmed that a driver and passenger were injured as a result of the collision. A 33-year-old male from Emily Township was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-altering injuries. The driver was transported to a local-area hospital with non-life-altering injuries. Neither the driver nor passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
Jeremy Windrem, a 37-year-old from Peterborough was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol or drug
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
