Thornton, Barbara…. passed away peacefully at Trenton Memorial Hospital on March 20, 2026 at the age of 87 years. Loving mother to Cheryl Houston, Richard Scragg and Ronald Thornton. Cherished grandmother of Melissa Houston, Lindsay Houston, Scott Houston, Mackenzie Thornton, Sydney Thornton, Jake Scragg, Brad Scragg and David Scragg. Loving sister to Ronald Thornton. Great grandmother to Blaire Robinson, Walker Robinson and Warren Robinson. Barbara is predeceased by her parents Charles and Catherine (nee Jones) Thornton and brother Charles Thornton. Barbara was an avid reader with a love of music and dance and was happiest when spending time with her family. Later in life she had the fortune of being a Self Actualization Teacher and Mentor at the Fellowship of the Spirit Church. Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held at Melissa’s home in Mississauga on April 11th, 2026 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
