Take your time this Tuesday, as driving will be slower than normal.
Heavy winds, dropping temperatures, and snow late Monday and into Tuesday has caused reduced visibility and a lot of collisions.
Overnight on the 401 near Napanee, three tractor trailers were involved in a collision in the westbound lanes.
It remains closed in that area.
There is also a four vehicle crash in Quinte West, near the St Hilaire overpass, in the westbound lanes.
It includes a transport.
All lanes are closed around Kingston for a crash near Westbrook Road, while all lanes are closed at Port Hope.
Meantime, crashes on the highway in Quinte West, Colborne, Cobourg, and Joyceville, have also been reported, closing portions of the highway in each instance.
There is also a plow truck in the ditch between Marysville and Shannonville.
Emergency detour routes are set up in multiple locations, with access restrictions to the highway in some areas.
