Belleville City Council will decide whether to move forward with a rehabilitation project for the Front Street Upper Bridge at its meeting on Monday.
City staff are recommending rehabilitation of the bridge, built around 1930, to continue to accommodate vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The cost of the project is estimated at around $4.2 million. City staff say a replacement bridge would cost around $15 million.
The vote will take place during council’s meeting, which is set to take place in council chambers starting at 4 p.m.
