Roya Shafai went two for two at the RMC Open Judo Championships in Kingston on the weekend.
She nearly had to go for a round three in a come-from-behind win in her second match, fighting in the women’s 57-kilo division.
However, while the matches were scheduled for four minutes, she ended both early.
Her opponent was quite strong, making it difficult to attack with a throw.
This left Shafai using counter techniques when her opponent attacked for a throw and she pinned her to finish one of the matches early.
