Two males are facing charges after committing an armed robbery in Whitby.
Durham Regional Police responded to a robbery call that occurred in the area of Taunton Road East and Garden Street on Thursday.
Two male youths made threats with a weapon toward another youth while demanding his jacket and satchel.
Police identified the suspects and a short time later took them into custody without incident.
The weapon was determined to be a conducted energy weapon (taser).
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
A 14-year-old male from Whitby is charged with possess weapon dangerous, possession of a prohibited device, robbery, carry concealed weapon, and disguise with intent.
A 14-year-old male from Whitby is charged with robbery.
Both were released on an undertaking.
