Five officers with the Belleville Police Service were recognized by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Quinte and the
Belleville Police Service Board on Thursday.
The officers, PC Jordan Rhodes, PC Aaron Gauthier, PC Mike McCurdy, PC Connor O’Hara, and PC Cory Mooney, laid the
highest number of impaired driving charges in 2025.
The vice-chair of MADD Quinte and a civilian member of the Belleville Police Service Kaitlyn McConnell made the presentations.
McConnell lost her brother to an impaired driver in 2010.
She recalled the pain felt by the family and those close her brother Tyler, whom she last saw as he said goodbye to her before
going rollerblading while she studied at Loyalist College.
