Gary Everett Rowe (April 11, 1942 – February 20, 2026) passed away peacefully at Bridge Hospice in his 84th year. Born in Belleville to the late Delbert and Viola Rowe (nee Parr), Gary was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Rowe (née Morgan).
He is survived by his children Bryce (Cindy), Vaughn (Julie), Lorelei (Ron), and Chad (Jason); his grandchildren Ryan (Jacquie), Morgan (Chris), Kyle, Kreig, Victoria (Leo), Anthony, Nicholas, and Caitlin; and his great-grandchildren Grayson, Jude, Kennedy, Bennett, Charlie, Hayden, and Allanah. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Gord (Marilyn), Bonnie (Phil), and Rodney (Yvonne); his brother-in-law Roscoe (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews. Gary lived in the Petherick’s Corners community for 64 years. He began his career at the Crowe Bay Cheese Factory before starting Groson Milk Transport, which he and Ruth operated for 25 years. In his later years, he worked for Upper Canada Fuels and Elmhirst Farms, retiring fully in 2019. Gary loved his community and his neighbours and made numerous friends through his work, the Lions Club, hunting, and his love of curling and softball. He will be missed by many. In memory of Gary, donations may be made to The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth, or to the Campbellford Curling Club. In keeping with Gary’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Campbellford Curling Club 381 Front St., North Campbellford with a Eulogy to be shared by grandson Ryan at 12:45 pm.
