It appears a local trustee is not done with his battle with Tri-Board Student Transportation.
Ernie Parsons is the trustee for Sidney Ward and Frankford, with the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board.
He filed what is called a Notice of Motion on Monday night.
“Tri-Board Transportation be directed to cancel busing contracts pertinent to the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board for this September 2026 implementation date, and that new requests for proposals to be issued with priority being given to student safety and conforming to the Province of Ontario legislation.”
He is also requesting priority to Ontario companies.
Tri-Board oversees busing for the HPEDSB, Limestone District in the Kingston area, along with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
At a February 9 committee meeting, Parsons requested to have the regional, non-profit transportation consortium return to answer questions at a meeting of the board.
