The Loyalist Lancers basketball teams are doing something they have not done in quite a while – host quarter-final playoff games.
Over the weekend, the women, who finished first in the regular season for the first time in history, hosted the Redeemer Royals.
The Lancers also went undefeated during the regular season, and were 75-55 winners.
Grace Callahan has 21 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
They host the St Clair Saints on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Lancerdome.

The men’s team will get set to host the Sheridan Bruins at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, following their 80-74 win over the weekend against the Lambton Lions in Sarnia.
Fans are being encouraged to attend, with free admission.

The Lancers men’s volleyball team lost their quarter final match-up to the Cambrian Shield on Sunday in Sudbury 3-1.
Third year Lancer Liam Hill was named an East Division Second Team All-Star, while rookie Jacob Diefenbach was named to the East Division All-Rookie team and an East Division Second Team All-Star.
