It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denis at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in his 84th year. Born in Ottawa in 1942, Denis is the son of the late Percy and Madge Hall. He is the beloved husband of Eleanor Hall for 53 wonderful years together. Forever loved by his children, Jerry Towns (Theresa) and Cathie Dillabough (the late Cal). Very proud Gramps, Grandpa, and G-Pa to Ashley Zelmer (Jordan) Megan Larose, Kelly Armstrong-Towns (Nathan) and Krista Larose. Denis’s love for his family was never more evident than when he spent time with his great grandchildren Drew, Aly, Colin, Simone, Seth, and Desmond. They will all miss their Gramps very much. Denis is survived by his siblings Mike (Shawn), Paul (Janice), Chris (Cathy) and Janet (Gord) and his sister-in-law Sylvi (late brother Rick) and sister-in-law Carolyn. He is predeceased by his sister Linda (George). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Community Paramedic Dave Valdes for his heartfelt care and advice to both Denis and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Belleville General Hospital – Emergency department are appreciated.
