Members of the Peterborough County OPP are looking for assistance in locating a vehicle and its driver in relation to various calls at the Norwood Community Centre.
During the month of January 2026, Peterborough County OPP received multiple calls related to vehicles that had been broken into at the Norwood Arena/Community Centre. In different instances, vehicle windows had been smashed to gain access and items were taken from within.
During recent calls, a vehicle of interest was identified which investigators are wanting to identify along with the person driving it. The vehicle is an older, beige, four-door sedan with a black strip along the rocker panels. The vehicle also had no front licence plate visible. OPP would like to speak with the driver of this vehicle and are looking for assistance from the public in identifying them.
Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect(s) involved in these thefts. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough County OPP at the non-emergency line 1-888-310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
The OPP urge vehicle drivers to take precautions when leaving their vehicles unattended. Never leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle, ensure your doors are locked and when possible, park in a well-lit location.
