Prince Edward County wants to hear from local farmers.
It has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) survey focused on the agricultural sector.
The survey was designed with input from farmers across the municipality, including the chair of the Agricultural Advisory Committee, commodity producers, dairy farmers, equine operations, food growers, wine industry representatives, and the regional representative of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
The BR+E survey is a key tool for understanding the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in Prince Edward County.
Feedback will help the municipality better understand how municipal programs and policies are impacting local farms, and where the municipality could provide better supports that strengthen farm businesses and the rural economy.
In addition to the survey which takes about 10 minutes to complete, farmers are invited to join sector-specific focus groups to share insights and ideas:
