The County of Prince Edward will share more details about the Bloomfield Main Street resurfacing project at a public information centre (PIC) on Monday, February 2.
The PIC will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. at Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main Street).
If there is inclement weather on February 2, the meeting will be held on Monday, February 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Bloomfield Town Hall. An update will be sent out by noon on February 2. Sign up to receive news and notices from the municipality.
The resurfacing of Bloomfield Main Street from Corey Street to Wellington Street is expected to happen in 2026. The Province of Ontario is covering 90 per cent of the project costs under the Connecting Links program.
The road will always remain open with one lane of traffic, and the work will be done in sections to help minimize disruption. With minor underground storm sewer work involved, this project is significantly less complex and time-consuming than recent road projects in Picton and Wellington.
The municipality has met with representatives from the business community and residents and will continue to involve them in developing strategies to manage the impact of this project.
