Victoria Street South, from Strachan Street to Sherbourne Street in Port Hope is closed on January 12 as the town addresses a watermain break in the area.
Local traffic will have access to their properties but motorists are asked to avoid the area, if possible.
Some customers may experience low water pressure, and localized water shut-offs may be necessary to complete repairs.
Crews are on-site working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible with work anticipated to be completed, and the road reopened by 8:00 p.m.
