“My goal is of course to get it below double digits this year–it may be high single digits–but that is my goal. That is of course if we can get
some funding to help us through some of these difficult times.”
“So I’m not sure if we’ll start with six or if we’ll start with four but there is definitely going to be a commitment by this council and hoping that each
subsequent council will comply and put aside a set amount every year.”
The dedicated capital levy over 10 years would help Tweed catch up on necessary spending on roads and bridges, water/sewer projects and other infrastructure needs.
“Next year we’re hoping to install two bridges, the first definitely being Kinmond, and after that we are definitely moving on half of Flinton Road–we’re definitely focused on getting that one done.”
