Treverton (nee Clazie), Joan Elaine, entered into rest peacefully at Westgate Lodge Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025. Dear daughter of the late Roy and Pearl Clazie (nee Cole). Beloved wife and cherished companion of the late Roy Eugene Treverton. Dear sister of the late Allan Clazie (late wife Louise). Aunt Joan will be dearly missed by her niece Mary-Ann Clazie (Adam White), her nephews, David Clazie (Jennifer Clazie), and Mark Clazie, great-niece Victoria (Tori), and great-nephew Alexander. Joan will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews on the Treverton side of the family. She was a great friend to many and had a wonderful sense of humour, which will be missed. Joan fondly remembered her peers and memories from her time at the Bank of Montreal. Joan’s favourite job was feeding the barn cats on the farm where she grew up. In keeping with the wishes of Joan, cremation to take place. A service will be held in the spring of 2026 (day and time to be announced on the Steele Funeral Home website). If desired, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, or the Alzheimer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Belleville (613-968-2273).
