Peterborough County OPP have arrested two individuals for assault after investigating an intimate partner violence call.
On December 12, 2025, Peterborough County OPP received a call regarding an assault that had taken place at a residence in Peterborough County. The caller advised that there had been an argument that resulted in a physical altercation at which point an adult child stepped in to intervene, causing harm to one of the parties.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with all parties. After gathering information, it was determined that two individuals had committed an assault and both were arrested.
A 66-year-old female and a 36-year-old male were both arrested and charged with assault.
Both accused were released with a future court date to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
