Two males are facing charges after stealing copper wiring in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, officers from Durham Regional Police Service East Crime Team concluded an investigation into ongoing copper theft from a business in the area of King Street East and Charles Street.
Two males have now been arrested and are facing a number of charges. A large amount of stolen wiring has been recovered.
Andreas Dobershutz, age 56 of no fixed address is charged with break enter and commit place other than dwelling, possess property obtained by crime not exceeding $5000 and breach of probation x2.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Andrew Legault, age 38 of Whitby is charged with break enter and commit place other than dwelling, possess property obtained by crime not exceeding $5000 and possession of a Schedule I Substance.
He was released on an undertaking.
