Correctional Service Canada (CSC) is reporting the death of an inmante at Millhaven Institution’s Regional Treatment Centre.
Daniel Lalonde died while in custody of apparent natural causes.
At the time of death, the inmate was 71 years old and had been serving a life sentence since December 9, 2020.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, CSC will review the circumstances.
CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
