Jessica Smylie is the City of Quinte West’s new Physician Recruiter and Engagement Specialist.
Smylie, who holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Queen’s University comes to Quinte West from Veterans Affairs Canada, where she spent the past decade as a Mental Health Nurse Case Manager.
In her role as Physician Recruiter and Engagement Specialist, Smylie will focus on advocating for unattached residents and supporting their connection to a primary care physician. She will also play a key role in strengthening physician retention within the community, including establishing clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and benchmarks to track progress and measure the success of recruitment and engagement initiatives.
“I’m excited to support the health and well-being of Quinte West residents,” said Smylie. “Helping residents connect with primary care providers is a top priority, and I look forward to collaborating with the community to make that happen.”
