City of Quinte West staff were celebrated for their long service at the November 26 special council meeting. This year, the city recognized 23 staff celebrating five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service.
Additionally, nine firefighters from Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services received a Provincial Exemplary Service Medal in recognition of 20 years of service, and five firefighters received a Provincial Long Service Bar for 30 years of service.
“On behalf of the council, I would like to congratulate this year’s recipients of the Long Service Award and express our gratitude for their commitment to the City of Quinte West,” said Mayor Jim Harrison.
The annual Long Service Awards recognize staff who have marked service milestones in five-year increments from five years onward.
