The Northumberland OPP have charged a driver following a traffic complaint from a member of the public.
Wednesday night, just after 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver near Bridge Street West and Grand Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
Police located and stopped a vehicle matching the description provided. After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The individual was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
Lindsay Austrung-Wilson, age 42 from Campbellford, has been charged with:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in January 2026.
A further 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and seve-day vehicle impoundment were imposed as per statute.
